In 2016 Peter King was invited to prepare plans for a replacement house on this challenging triangular plot in Radlett.
The new two storey house fuses traditional and modern themes. As typical of many of our projects it features a central formal entrance and hallway with a top-lit double height space allowing light to drop down into the centre of the property.
This central hallway axis leads directly to the “Kitchen family dining room with a strong relationship to the garden”. This main living space which features a large expanse of sliding glass doors is dramatically focused on the triangular garden and outbuilding which itself is very modern in conception.
The building is highly insulated featuring a number of sustainable technologies.
The project was commissioned by a developer client who had little difficulty finding a willing purchaser.
